Project description
KRO-NCRV and production company Big Blue present Grand Hotel aan Zee, the first romantic period drama produced in the Netherlands. Set between 1912 and 1919, the eight-part series takes place in a prestigious seaside hotel on the coast of Noordwijk and is currently in production.
For Grand Hotel aan Zee, an extensive studio set has been created, featuring the complete interior of the hotel — from the grand lobby and atmospheric dining room to the guest rooms and corridors. Every detail has been meticulously designed and brought to life. The outside world, too, has been realistically recreated with the help of a high-end LED wall measuring 20 meters wide and 3.5 meters high, seamlessly blending with the interior set.
We are extremely proud to have contributed to this beautiful production on behalf of Big Blue. The premiere is scheduled for late 2026 on NPO.
